1. Information We Handle

• Practice data: Test answers, scores, XP, streaks, bookmarks, and similar progress may be saved in your browser storage (such as localStorage) so the feature can work and remember your progress.
• Sign-in information: If you choose Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication processes your sign-in. We may receive basic account details such as your name, email address, profile image, and user identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
• Technical and usage information: Hosting and security services may process request and device information needed to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website. Vercel Web Analytics may process page-view and usage metrics where enabled.
• Messages you send: If you contact us, we receive the information and attachments you choose to include in your message.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide practice features, maintain your local progress, support sign-in, understand and improve site performance, protect the service, and respond to questions or reports.

3. Browser Storage and Retention

Practice progress stored on your device remains there until it is cleared or the relevant feature removes it. Clearing browser data may erase saved progress. Sign-in state may be managed by Firebase and your browser. Information sent to us by email is retained as needed to respond, keep records, and address legal or security matters.

We do not currently provide cloud synchronization of practice progress unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

4. Service Providers and Sharing

We use service providers, including Firebase Authentication and Vercel hosting/analytics where enabled, to operate parts of the website. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to lawful requests, or meet legal obligations.

5. Your Choices and Requests

• You can clear browser storage through your browser settings; this may remove locally saved progress.
• You can stop using Google sign-in or sign out where that option is provided.
• For a privacy question, access or deletion request, or concern about information associated with your account, email rankupexam@gmail.com. We may ask for information needed to verify and process the request.

6. Children

RankUpExam is designed for people preparing for competitive examinations and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.

7. Security and External Sites

We use reasonable measures appropriate to this service, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Links to third-party websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the website or its practices change. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
